Love of Family. Love of Faith. Love of Country. These are the core values that Rocky Sickmann was raised to believe. He not only embraced them, he has lived them in the best of times and the most challenging ones.
Rocky was a young Marine, eager, proud, and honored to be selected to become a part of the Marine Security Guard. Little did he know how that decision would change his life.
Rocky, and 51 others from the U.S. embassy in Tehran, were held captive for 444 days by radical Iranian students. His story of endurance, courage, faith, love, and survival is one every should hear. Added to his original core values is Love of Freedom.
Rocky refuses to be called a hero, but he is 100% a true American Patriot.
